A step-by-step guide to purchasing POAPs for commercial use.
Pre-requisites: Before setting up your POAP Drop for commercial use, please review our Commercial Use Guide and determine the size of your Drop and how many POAPs you will need.
Your initial purchase for commercial use POAPs must be purchased at a minimum of 100 credits. These initial credits will be locked to the specific drop they are purchased for.
Step 1
Sign in
To begin, navigate to POAP Drops and sign in via email. If you have previously dropped POAPs, use the same email.
Note: This page also acts as a "sign-up" page if you have never issued POAPs before.
Step 2
Create a new Drop. For guidance, visit: "How to Create a POAP Drop" .
Step 3
Click on your recently created Drop. You will see a list of available distribution methods. Select the one that best fits your use case:

After choosing the Distribution Method, click the “Buy” button to start the checkout process, which will open a new window. The purchase flow is the same for all distribution methods.
- Select the amount of POAPs you want to buy and complete the required fields. You will need to purchase a minimum of 100 credits to start.
- Fill in the required fields, including card information.
Note: You can save your payment information in this portal or choose to delete it. POAP does not store or share your card information with anyone. The payment process is fully managed by Stripe. You will need to purchase a minimum of 100 POAPs (credits) for a flat fee; $25 USD =100 POAPs.
- After clicking “Pay” you will be redirected to a payment success page. You can close this window and you will receive email confirmation of your payment. This email will contain your ”transaction ID” regarding the specific transaction. (You will need the transaction ID in the case that you need to reach out to our Customer Success team)
- Navigate back to the “request amount” page and input the amount of POAPs you paid for.
- Then proceed to the "USE" button (bottom right corner)
- You will get a confirmation message
Step 5
Check your email for the payment authorization confirmation for your Drop (you should receive this email from curation@poap.io).
Note: Your card will not be charged until the Drop has been reviewed and approved by the Curation Body. If your Drop is rejected, your payment will be refunded to your card within 5-10 business days. If your drop is approved, you’ll receive a payment receipt to your email after your card is charged.
If you have any concerns regarding your payment or Drop, feel free to reach out to our Customer Support team via the chat bubble in the lower-right corner of all POAP websites. There will not be any indication on the Drops interface that you have made a payment. Payment can be confirmed via the email confirmation from curation@poap.io or by checking your credit card statement; the transaction will show up as POAP DROP {dropID}
