Mail merge is a powerful tool that allows you to send personalized emails to multiple recipients with just a few clicks. By using mail merge, you can save time and effort when sending out POAP mint links by email while still maintaining a personalized touch. In this article, we will walk you through how to create a mail merge of up to 50 mint links for free using Gmail and Google Sheets, with a focus on sending unique web URLs to each of your contacts.
Setting up your Mail Merge
Step 1: Prepare your contact list in Google Sheets
Start by creating a new Google Sheet. Use a separate row for each individual person and then input each bit of data in a separate column. At minimum, include a column for email address and a column for POAP mint links.
Step 2: Install the "Yet Another Mail Merge" (YAMM) add-on (up to 50 emails free)
To perform a mail merge in Gmail using Google Sheets, you'll need to install the "Yet Another Mail Merge" (YAMM) add-on. To do this, navigate to “Extensions” in the top menu, select "Add-ons," click "Get add-ons," and search for "Yet Another Mail Merge." Install the add-on by following the prompts.
Step 3: Compose the email template in Gmail
Create a new email in Gmail and compose your message. To insert your POAP Mint Links, use double curly brackets {{ }} and the exact column header name from your Google Sheet. For example, to insert POAP Mint Links, you might type “mint your POAP by clicking this url: {{Column B}}” in the email body.
Step 4: Connect YAMM to your Gmail draft
Return to your Google Sheet, click "Add-ons" in the menu, and select "Yet Another Mail Merge" followed by "Start Mail Merge." YAMM will prompt you to choose a Gmail draft to use as your email template. Select the draft you composed in Step 3.
Step 5: Customize your settings and send the emails
YAMM will display a sidebar with various settings. Confirm your recipients' email addresses, the sender's name, and the email subject. You can also set the tracking options for your campaign. Once you're satisfied with the settings, click "Send Emails" to begin the mail merge process.
By following the steps above, you can easily email your POAP mint links using Gmail and Google Sheets. We hope to see you celebrating many more precious life moments with POAP!
