POAPs are designed to be high-quality digital collectibles to commemorate life’s special moments. The public-facing information and design of a POAP is frequently the most appreciated aspect by collectors. For this reason, the POAP Curation Body places great importance on artwork and copy.
Here are a few recommendations to keep in mind when designing your Drop to make it unique:
It is of the utmost importance that Drops have titles that accurately explain what is being commemorated. The description field should provide more information about the specific occasion and how someone would be eligible to mint that POAP.
Artwork is key. It’s everyone’s first impression of your POAP! The image should evoke the memory being commemorated and be distinct from all other POAPs. For example, if a Drop commemorates a monthly meetup, the artwork and description for each month should stand out from the others.
Images should also meet the following criteria:
- Uploaded as a PNG or GIF
- Circular shape, no larger than 500px in diameter
Note: profane and explicit content is not accepted. Trademarked content will only be allowed when associated with official corporate accounts.
By following these recommendations, issuers can ensure their precious collectible is meaningful to collectors and evokes a vivid memory.
If your Drop does not meet some of the above criteria, the Curation Body will request that you improve the creative elements of your POAP before approving your Drop. We hope this information helps you create high-quality POAPs that collectors will cherish for years to come!
