POAP Delivery is a powerful tool that allows issuers to securely distribute their POAPs to a known list of Ethereum addresses. To use this feature, issuers must have a reliable way of capturing these addresses from event attendees, from on-chain activity, or from those who meet the criteria required to mint that POAP.

There are several ways that issuers can collect these addresses:

Sign-up form
- Many issuers make a sign up form (such as a Google Form or Typeform) available to attendees with a field for inserting their Ethereum address or ENS name. From this list, you can create a whitelist of eligible individuals for the POAP.

Capture information directly from the blockchain
- Some issuers base their distribution from on-chain interactions. In these cases, if they have the adequate tooling and skills, they can query the blockchain for the list of addresses that participated in a specific activity, and use it to create the whitelist for the POAP Delivery.

Manual entry
- When the list of collectors receiving the POAP is not large, some issuers input Ethereum addresses or ENS names manually, without needing sophisticated collection methods. This practice is valid, as long as issuers take responsibility for being precise, since the address list can’t be edited after submitting the Delivery.
It’s important to clearly communicate to attendees or potential recipients what information is required to receive the POAP, and why it is important that they provide accurate information. This will reduce potential issues and, importantly, ensure that only legitimate collectors receive the POAP.
