As an issuer, you may occasionally encounter situations where the artwork for your drop does not meet the required quality standards or is not properly centered. In such cases, it's important to know how to update your artwork to create a visually appealing digital collectible for collectors. This guide will walk you through the process of changing the artwork for your POAP Drop. There are two cases, depending if your drop has already had a request approved or not. Let's get started!
Case 1: If no requests have been approved for your Drop
1. Open your web browser and navigate to the Drops Interface
2. Login using the email associated with your issuer account.
3. Once logged in, you will see a list of your drops. Locate the drop for which you want to update the artwork and click on it to access the drop details page.
4. On the drop details page, you will find an option to change the artwork. Click this option to proceed.
5. Select a new image for your artwork. Ensure that the new image complies with the following specifications:
- Format: PNG or Animated GIF
- Frame: 500 by 500 pixels
- File size: Under 4MB
6. After selecting the new artwork, save your changes. The POAP Drops interface will automatically crop the image in a circular shape, so make sure your image is properly centered before uploading.
Case 2: If a request for your Drop has already been approved
1. If a request for your drop has already been approved, you cannot directly change the artwork for that particular Drop. However, you have the option to create a new drop with the updated artwork.
2. Visit the Drops Interface and login with your email: https://drops.poap.xyz
3. Click on the "Create a new drop" button to start the process of creating a new drop.
4. Fill out the necessary details for your new drop, including the Request for Information (RFI) form at the end.
5. In the RFI form, specify that the new drop is intended to replace a previous one by sharing the Drop ID of the drop you want to replace. This helps the Curation Body understand your request.
6. Upload the new artwork image for your drop, ensuring it meets the specifications mentioned earlier (PNG or animated GIF format, 500 by 500 pixels, under 4MB, properly centered).
7. Submit the new drop for review and await approval from the POAP Curation Body.
Updating the artwork for your POAP drop is a straightforward process, depending on whether a request has been approved or not. By following the step-by-step instructions in this guide, you can ensure that your artwork complies with the required quality standards and is properly centered. Remember, maintaining visually appealing and high-quality artwork enhances the overall experience for collectors and is important for accurately representing the memory you want to commemorate.
