Distributing POAPs at IRL events can be made easier and more engaging through the use of physical QR code distribution. By printing unique QR codes for each mint link and distributing them to attendees, issuers can enhance the event experience and ensure a secure distribution of POAPs. Follow the steps below!
Generate the QR codes for printing:
- Visit the QR code generator tool at https://poaps.agency/generator.
- Upload a mint links file (links.txt) containing unique mint links for your POAPs.
- Follow the instructions to generate QR codes for each mint link.
Figure out a medium for printing your POAPs:
- Select a print medium such as cardboard, stickers, or custom-designed objects.
- Ensure the medium offers enough space for the QR codes to be easily scanned.
Print the QR Codes:
- Use a reliable printing service or equipment to print the QR codes.
- Pay attention to size, legibility, and print quality for optimal scanning.
Distribute the QR Codes:
- At the event, we recommend setting up a dedicated area to distribute the QR codes, such as where attendees check-in.
- Encourage attendees to scan their QR with their phone camera or scanner app on their smartphones to mint their POAP!
- Upon scanning, collectors will be directed to the POAP minting page to input the address where they want to receive their POAP. If they have the POAP app on their phone, they will be redirected to the app and the minting will happen automatically.
