How to Create a POAP Raffle Using POAP Fun?

Before You Start

Before creating your POAP Fun raffle, you’ll want to:

• Make a list of POAP Drops (titles and/or Drop ID) whose collectors you’d like to participate in your raffle
• Decide when you intend to host the raffle
• Decide whether you will host it live (IRL or virtually) or asynchronously
• Plan some prizes for your raffle winners
• Consider how you’d like to distribute your prizes; ie: what sort of contact information will you need in order to distribute?

Creating a Raffle: step by step guide 

1. Navigate to POAP Fun.  Log in with your preferred email address. You’ll receive a special sign in link via email
   
2. Once signed in, go to the admin dashboard (http://poap.fun/admin) and click “create a new raffle”.
   
3. Complete each section with details of your raffle:
   1. Title: give your raffle a fun name that indicates what it’s about and who it’s for
      
   2. Description: This is an important step as it captures the details for your raffle. This lets your participants know a bit more about the purpose of the raffle
      
   3. Raffle draw time: Specify whether this event is predefined or manual start.

*Predefined start: This triggers the raffle kickoff to the predefined date and time.
Note: if you select a predefined start, you will have the option to start the raffle manually before scheduled time

*Manual start: This allows you to tell raffle participants roughly when you think it will start, and then trigger the raffle manually from the admin panel

4. Eligible POAPs: select the POAPs whose holders you’d like to be able to join the raffle. You can select up to 100.
   
5. Prizes: write a brief description of each prize in order of distribution. ie:1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. - you can reorder the placement as needed.

*Optional: Include a visual representation of the prize intended for distribution so that participants have a clear understanding of what to anticipate.

6. Contact: If your intention is to connect with winners for prize distribution, check the “require emails” box if you would like raffle participants to enter an email address before joining the raffle.
   

Note 1: Raffle participants do not need to connect a wallet to join the raffle regardless of your selection here. However, winners are given the ability to sign a message to confirm their email corresponds to the winning wallet so you as an organizer know your prize is going to the right recipient.

Note 2: If you would like to automatically add all POAP holders as participants yourself, rather than waiting for them to join, leave this box unchecked. You will then be able to select an “add all participants” button in the admin panel prior to the draw.

7.     Conditions: Check the “agree to terms and conditions” box to confirm that you agree to the      terms and conditions of using the POAP Fun product (Required to use POAP Fun).

NOTE: - Raffles CAN be edited after they are created but not during or after the draw is final.

              - Once the raffle is published additional editors can be added from the admin panel.

Kicking Off Your Raffle

1. In the admin panel, find the raffle link that you can share with participants and spectators. This is where they can join and/or watch the live draw.
2. If you wish to automatically include participants, simply click the "add all POAP holders" button to populate your raffle with tickets form all eligible holders.
   
3. Start your draw
   1. If you’ve selected a predefined draw date, wait until kickoff time and then tune in on the raffle link to watch the draw take place live.
      
   2. If you’ve selected a manual draw date, you’ll need to click to "start your draw" on the admin panel and confirm before it triggers the raffle page.
4. Once the draw for all prizes is complete, you’ll see the final raffle winners.
   
5. Raffle participants who visit the raffle page can search their wallet address to see if they’ve won a prize. If so, they can sign a message confirming they are the wallet holder. They’ll also receive a “You’ve Won” email if they entered the raffle with an email address.
   
6. The creator of the raffle can access the admin panel to download the results. The downloaded file will contain participant wallet addresses, email addresses (if provided), and a boolean indicating whether they have confirmed their win. Additionally, the drop ID of the associated POAP for the winning ticket will be visible.
   1. Utilize the list of winners and their verified wallet ownership confirmations to distribute your prizes through the channel you prefer.
