For collectors without an Ethereum wallet, POAP Accounts provides an easy solution for collecting POAPs. By entering their email into the input field on the POAP minting page. Collectors can reserve POAPs (and will receive a confirmation email). This email-based reservation can later be minted to the blockchain as an authentic digital collectible.
Steps to Create a POAP Account:
reserve your POAP using your email address.
- You will see a success message “POAP Reserved”
- Once reserved, you’ll receive an email confirmation. If you already have a wallet, select “I have a wallet” and input your ENS or Ethereum wallet address.
- If you do not have an Ethereum wallet, click “Create a new account”
- You will be directed to a page with the option to create a POAP Nickname. Type the Nickname you want and select the subdomain you desire.
- After you select a Nickname, your POAP Account will be created and your POAPs will be minted to the blockchain.
To learn more about your account information click “Show account info”.
You will be directed to a specific page with your info (the link will look like this https://collectors.poap.xyz/wallet/success)
- You will be directed to a page with your POAP Account information
- It’s easier to manage your account on mobile. On this page you can scan the QR code displayed or scroll down and click “Get POAP app” to install the POAP Home app
How to move your account to another wallet
- This will allow you to set up a Rainbow wallet and obtain your Private Keys
- If you already have a wallet select “Get private keys”
- You will be prompted to enter a verification code sent to the email address provided
Once you enter the verification code, the option to copy your “private keys” will be displayed. It is VERY important you write these keys down and keep them in a safe place, DO NOT SHARE THESE KEYS WITH ANYONE
- Click “Read Instructions”
- You will be directed to Rainbow Wallet instructions
