POAPs are precious digital collectibles that preserve and cherish memories. Anyone can create and issue POAPs. In this article, we walk you through the basic process of setting up a POAP Drop!
Step 1
Sign in
To begin, navigate to POAP Drops and sign in using the email address you use in the POAP ecosystem.
💡Note: This page also acts as a "sign-up" page if you have never issued POAPs before.
A sign-in link will be sent to your email address. Below is an example of the email you will receive:
Step 2
Create drop
After you have completed the sign-in process, you will be redirected to your POAP Drops Dashboard.
To the right of the screen select "Create new drop"
Step 3
Add artwork
To the left of the screen select "Add artwork" to upload the artwork from your device.
Recommendations for optimal performance are a 500x500px image, round in shape. The file must be either a PNG, JPEG, WEBP, or GIF and not exceed 200KB in size.
The preview shown at this stage is how your POAP will look in the POAP Home app.
If you are unhappy with the way your POAP will look or you have selected the wrong file on your device, select "Change artwork" and select a new file.

Step 4
Complete Drop request details
Fill out the Drop request form with the details of your drop. In this step we will review the required fields of the Drop request form and walk you through the details necessary to complete your request.
These are the required fields for Drop creation. Best practice, we encourage you to fill out all fields with as much detail as possible. After creating your Drop, you will have the option to submit supplemental information to the POAP Curation Body.

After filling out the required fields, review all details of your submission and click the "Create POAP" icon at the bottom right of the page.
A success message will briefly appear at the top of your screen. Your Drop can now be found in your Drops Dashboard.
Step 5
Create POAP
Submitting your Drop request, will redirect you to the Drop Detail page of the Drop you submitted. Here you will request a distribution method for your Drop. In this example, we will choose mint links as our distribution method.
💡Note: Mint links are unique links that have a unique code to each one. When tapped/used, the process of minting your POAP begins.
Mint links
Select the amount of mint links you need, one for each eligible collector.
After you have reviewed the fields, click "Submit request".
A success message will briefly appear at the top of your screen. Your Drop request will now say "pending" on the Drop details page of POAP Drops.
Step 6
Be patient
Curation reviews Drops in the order they are received. Please allow up to 24 hours for your Drop to be reviewed.
Once your drop has been reviewed by Curation, the Drop details will update and you can download the mint links or request more mint links from this page.
💡NOTE: When you submit a POAP Drop, you can complete an "additional information for curation" form. This form allows you to provide pertinent information about your Drop plans for the POAP Curation Body to review. While this form is optional, we HIGHLY recommend you complete it with detailed information.
Fill in as much information as possible in the fields for the curation body to review. The more information the better.
