Step 1: Set up your drop!
If you need help setting up a drop, please see our article on drop creation here: How Do I Set Up a POAP Drop?

Event ID: the unique numeric identifier of the drop for which you are creating the POAP. You can find the event ID in the confirmation email you received after creating your drop.
Edit code: the 6-digit code you received via email when creating the drop.
Add another event: In deliveries, you can set up more than one drop for distribution on the same page.
Delivery URL: the subdomain your delivery will be hosted on under https://poap.delivery. The URL will result in https://poap.delivery/{delivery-url}, where {delivery-url} is the portion that you'll enter into this box. Make sure to only use lowercase, alphanumeric characters.

0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000002

Step 4: Wait for approval
After an issuer petitions the Curation Body to drop a POAP, the petition undergoes a manual review by the curators. Reviews have several possible outcomes:
- Approval (without comment): In the best case scenario, curators have no objections to the preparation or execution of a drop. The issuer receives an email that confirms the drop is approved.
If a drop cannot be approved without comment, curators may reach out to the issuer (via the email provided when the drop was set up) for the following reasons:
- Request for Information: In some cases, additional information is required by curators to make a decision about the petition.
- Conditional Approval: In other cases, a drop may be approved with relatively minor changes to the drop (content or distribution). After an issuer revises their petition as requested, the drop will be approved promptly.
Drops are rejected when they are conceptually too far out of alignment with the POAP ethos, or when distribution presents too high a risk and compromise cannot be reached with issuers.
How to check the status of the drop petition?
If you want to check on the status of your drop petition you should do so by using the chat bubble:
-
- Click the chat bubble in the lower-right corner of the POAP website.
- Type “check on my petition”
- Enter your drop ID.
- Get a response!
If curation needs to contact you, they will do so via the email curation@poap.io. If customer support needs to contact you, they will do so via the email support@poap.io. Beware of scams and never reply to other email addresses.

Appeals
If issuers wish to appeal a rejection, they can reach out on Zendesk to communicate directly with the POAP Curation Body. A respectful, professional, and collaborative relationship between issuers and curators is vital for the health of the POAP ecosystem. The foundation of this relationship is a mutual understanding of the Guidelines.
Ultimately, the final determination of whether a petition is approved rests with the POAP Curation Body, as the stewards of the POAP ecosystem.
